Leader of Innovative New York Company Honored for Promoting the Importance and Value of American Manufacturing

MIDDLETOWN, NEW YORK, May 18, 2023 -- The Council of Industry, the leading manufacturer’s association in New York’s Hudson Valley since 1910, presented Elisha Tropper, founder and CEO of Cambridge Security Seals (CSS), with its 2023 Manufacturing Champions award.

According to the organization, the Manufacturing Champions Award recognizes those individuals and organizations, who through vision, dedication, hard work, and tireless involvement have helped to overcome some of the many obstacles faced by manufacturers in the Hudson Valley community and in so doing they have made it possible for manufacturers and their employees to prosper.

Tropper founded CSS in 2010 as a response to a private equity-fueled consolidation and offshoring of North American security seals manufacturers. Since then, the Pomona, New York-based company has quickly developed into a global leader in tamper-evident seals and security solutions and has been consistently recognized as one of the most innovative manufacturers of tamper-evident seals.

At the awards ceremony, Tropper was presented with the award by Council of Industry President Harold King, who extolled the CEO for the company’s growth and success, as well as his leadership, particularly during the pandemic, when CSS maintained its 24-7 production to ensure that medical, pharmaceutical, PPE, food & beverage, and other critical supply chains would not falter due to shortages of security seals. King also lauded Tropper for championing American manufacturing, and for his willingness to speak with students, professionals, journalists, politicians, and others to educate them about the importance of developing a strong domestic manufacturing ecosystem.

In accepting the award, Tropper acknowledged the competitive challenges of manufacturing in New York, and insisted that the individual award was in fact recognition of the company’s extraordinary employees.

“CSS is blessed with a truly wonderful group of professionals who come to work each day ready to fight the next battle, overcome the next obstacle, and put real thought into figuring out how to best achieve our objectives,” explained Tropper.
