Job Description:  Marketing and Business Development Associate

Make no mistake about it: This position combines the development and execution of targeted strategies with a crystal-clear focus on producing revenue and profits.  This is a business-to-business role that focuses on generating new business while supporting and expanding existing marketing strategies and activities. Work directly with senior management to implement plans designed to achieve revenue goals in highlighted markets, including e-commerce. Marketing and Business Development Associate Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Company’s strategic marketing and business development plans.
  • Oversee directly, with revenue responsibilities, the development and day-to-day execution of specific initiatives, including managing certain online accounts and other niche opportunities.
  • Support the Company’s online presence by curating and posting various social media.
  • Provide support to the Company’s ongoing marketing activities as needed, including coordinating trades shows and website development activities with outside vendors.
  • Effectively communicate our story to ensure an intimate and accurate understanding of who we are, what we represent, and what we can offer.
  • Periodically work with management to prepare and execute marketing campaigns through trade shows, social media, or our email platforms.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Company’s products, markets and customers, including trends, competitors, and competitive issues –from which to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies.
  • Remain cognizant of industry and market trends and share those insights with the marketing and sales team to enhance our Company’s long-term competitive position.
  • Develop and utilize key performance metrics to track progress.
  • On occasion, engage with prospects and customers at trade shows, conferences, and industry gatherings.
    • Work with management to develop and maintain a consistent presence and premium image in our target markets.
    • Assist management in the execution of public relations strategies


Your Qualifications

  • This is an office-based position in Rockland County.  You must presently live in or have a reasonable daily commute to the Rockland County area.
  • Strong work ethic and self-starter mentality.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office. Graphic design and/or web design skills a plus.
  • Superior customer facing skills, demeanor, and attitude.
  • Aptitude for online marketing and business development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Proper grammar and professional vocabulary is essential, as is an understanding of the rules of professional business correspondence.
    • Extremely organized and efficient, with extraordinary attention to detail.
    • An innate sense of urgency and accuracy.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
    • Possess and demonstrate the combination of intelligence, aggressiveness, patience, and perseverance that is essential to succeed in this position.
    • Self-directed and disciplined, with a strong sense of personal accountability and performance orientation.
    • Ability to deftly balance workloads and deadlines.
    • Thrive in a friendly but fast-paced culture. Must be able to politely and effectively communicate across departments within our company.
    • Must pass initial and random drug testing.


Your Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2+ years of B2B marketing or business development experience preferred.
  • Experience selling products to the government or via Amazon beneficial.

Our production professionals operate and maintain injection molding, assembly, and packaging lines, coordinate production planning and resource allocation, and are committed to continuous improvement of our product, processes, and efficiency.

The CSS Customer Service department is dedicated to providing our customers with the highest level of assistance and professionalism. Each highly trained Customer Service Representative understands the importance of our company's role in our customers' operations, how effective communication is the key to our success, and is committed to the highest levels of professionalism.

The Quality Control department is responsible for ensuring that every product shipped by CSS is in full compliance with our product and packaging specifications and customer requirements. Through a combination of process analysis and rigorous inspection, our Quality Control professionals contribute to the company's efforts to continually improve our products, processes, packaging, service, and overall customer experience.

CSS' Shipping and Warehouse team is responsible for executing and recording a variety of shipping and receiving related tasks and processes, including handling inventory, packing and palletizing, and the loading and unloading of freight vehicles and containers.

CSS' Accounting and Finance Department is responsible for a variety of administrative functions within the organization. These areas include bookkeeping, payroll, collections, payables, credit, internal reporting, and human resources.
